Macclesfield Round Table

This may be your first time to our premier Charity event of the year and you may not have known that Macclesfield Round Table and the other members of the Macclesfield Beer Festival were working in the background to make this special occasion such a great local success story. The beer festival has grown from humble beginnings to the fantastic event it has become, where you can rock it out with our local bands and taste a few of the Ales from the UK.

Our members are guys just like you from the local area, who like nothing better than raising money for local, worthy causes and also raising a few glasses to our sponsors and supporters. Ask our members why they joined Macclesfield Round Table and you will get different answers from each. That is why membership is very special and open to anyone who wants friendship, fellowship, fun and the opportunity to have a laugh and do a bit of good whilst doing it.

Therefore, the real attraction of Round Table goes beyond this, because once you get involved and join in, there is a unique camaraderie, a mixture of respect, banter and belonging that is difficult to find elsewhere. Members of Round Table come from a wide range of professions in all walks of life, but what they all have in common is their willingness and commitment to supporting each other.

So, why join Macclesfield Round Table?

There are many reasons why you wish to expand your social group. It could be you have moved to a new area or your mates have moved away, changed or you have simply outgrown them. We are the easiest way to meet new friends in your local area. The welcome you will find at your local Round Table will be warm and genuine, and it is one of the main reasons people join the organisation.

Macclesfield Round Table is run by its members for its members. There is no company profiting at the end of the chain, and we have all at some time, been the new guy. Because of this Macclesfield Round Table opens a world of activities you wouldn’t otherwise experience, from the excitement of skydiving and off-roading, to beer festivals and carnivals. Getting together to share the fun is a big part of the Round Table life.

Ask members what it is that they like most about being part of Macclesfield Round Table and they’ll tell you it’s the opportunity to have fun and do something different which they would never try alone. Most of the events we run are on an evening in the week so to try not to disrupt busy schedules.

Many members also organise activities because there is something they’ve always wanted to do, and they can’t think of anyone they’d rather share it with than their fellow Round Tablers.

Fun, friendship and trying something new and exciting, that’s what Macclesfield Round Table is all about. From sports to arts and nights out at restaurants to family social events, Macclesfield Round Table prides itself on giving its members the chance to embrace life to the full.

There are many benefits to becoming a Round Tabler. Taking part in debate and organising functions and events will build leadership skills and give you public speaking abilities. Being a member of Round Table can help you enhance your personal strengths like no other organisation. Round Table opens up wonderful opportunities to become more involved in your local community and meet new friends from across the UK and the world.

Helping others while having great fun and enjoying new experiences is at the very heart of Round Table. So if you want to meet like minded people from all walks of life and get the chance to broaden your horizons why not contact us and come along to the next meeting?

You have no idea what you’re missing! Why wait to be invited?

Macclesfield Roundtable

Fun, friendship and trying something new and exciting, that’s what Round Table is all about. From sports to arts and nights out at restaurants to family social events, Round Table prides itself on giving its members the chance to embrace life to the full. At Macclesfield Round Table, we try to ensure that we have a balance between the formal side of Tabling and having fun. We get together on a regular basis, with a number of activities planned through the year. These range from a few beers and a curry through to go-karting, canal boating, ten-pin bowling, Gliding and even tug-of-war in an organised event! This year after a conversation while cycling between three of us, 22 people did the Coast to Coast cycle ride over three days in June. At our table we do also cover the more formal stuff - we have regular business meetings where Round Table matters are covered, although we still try to have fun at these meetings as well. We have an annual weekend trip to foreign destinations. In years gone by, this has included Madrid, Krakow, Stuttgart, Dublin and many, many more.
